Every flower arrangement we deliver started as someone else’s leftover flowers and ended up on a senior’s windowsill because people like you decided it mattered. Some of our supporters give once. Others give every month, round up at Walmart, or donate stock and other investments. Each way keeps good blooms out of the landfill and in the hands of people who’ll notice them, and we’re thankful for every single one. Your gift turns waste into wellbeing. Every week, beautiful flowers from weddings, farms, and events are headed for the trash. Grateful Vase rescues them and gives them a second life as fresh arrangements for seniors and veterans in long-term care across the Ozarks.
Your monetary gift is what makes that possible. It fuels our pickups, supplies our arrangements, and lets us bring flowers to more than 75 long-term care communities. Because our work is powered largely by volunteers and our flowers are donated, every dollar goes further, stretching your gift into real moments of connection for residents who often go without visitors.
Loneliness is one of the biggest challenges facing seniors in care. A fresh bouquet won’t fix that alone, but it starts conversations, brightens rooms, and reminds residents their community hasn’t forgotten them.

ROUND UP Walmart’s Round Up program lets you round your purchase up to the nearest dollar, with the spare change donated to Grateful Vase. It’s an easy way to give without writing a big check, and those few cents per order add up quickly when our community shops together. Look for the Round Up option at checkout, or set Grateful Vase as your preferred charity so every online order rounds up automatically.
REGISTRY Our Walmart Spark Good Registry is a curated list of the supplies we rely on most. Choose an item, check out, and it ships directly to us. Registry gifts keep our volunteers stocked with floral arrangement supplies, help us store and organize the vases we rescue and reuse, and support our annual Thanksgiving Nurse Appreciation Gift Delivery, where we thank the caregivers who look after our seniors every day.

LEGACY GIVING [ FOR THE SENIORS WE HAVEN'T MET YET ]
Grateful Vase was born from a love that lasted a lifetime. A legacy gift keeps that love moving, so seniors and veterans in long-term care are still getting fresh flowers years from now. Many legacy gifts cost nothing today, and some come with real tax benefits for you and your family.
APPRECIATED STOCKS AND MORE
Donating appreciated stock, mutual funds, bonds, or other securities is one of the smartest ways to give. When you transfer them directly to Grateful Vase, you may avoid capital gains tax and still qualify for a charitable deduction, so your gift goes further than selling and giving cash.
IRA CHARITABLE GIFTS
If you’re 70½ or older, you can give directly from your IRA through a Qualified Charitable Distribution. The gift goes straight to Grateful Vase, isn’t counted as taxable income, and may count toward your required minimum distribution.
REITREMENT ASSETS
Consider naming Grateful Vase as a beneficiary of all or part of your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or pension. Retirement assets left to loved ones may be taxed as income, while a nonprofit receives them tax-free. It only takes updating a beneficiary form.
